Casey Anthony’s Lawyer Comes Up with Convicted Black Felon, Vasco Thompson, as Connected to Ex-Cop George Anthony in Caylee Anthony Murder Case

Casey Anthony’s lawyers name convicted black felon, Vasco Thompson, as witness in the murder trial as having connections to Caylee Anthony’s grandfather and ex-cop George Anthony.

Vasco Thompson (Orlando Sentinel)

I know a person is innocent until proven guilty, but the Casey Anthony murder trial has taken another ugly turn — a black Orlando felon, Vasco Thompson, is now being dragged into this mess as the defense team, led by Anthony Baez, is throwing a “hail Mary-type” pass into the end zone to prove his client is innocent, even though the evidence is stacked against her. Thompson was reportedly convicted on kidnapping charges in 1988. This comes on the heels of Chief Judge Belvin Perry denying the defense’s motion for acquittal. I think Casey Anthony and her lawyers are crazy if they think she could get an acquittal. Casey Anthony is making the rounds with trying to pass off her daughter’s death on other people. First we had a Hispanic, Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, then she blamed her ex-fiance Jesse Grund, next up, grandfather George Anthony and now a black man, Vasco Thompson.

Court documents show Thompson is a “recently discovered witness through the ongoing efforts of defense investigators.” Thompson, according to the filing, “was connected to George Anthony through his cell phone records.” Records show four calls between Caylee’s grandfather and Thompson on July 14, 2008 — a day before Cindy Anthony reported Caylee’s disappearance to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

George Anthony’s attorney, Mark Lippman, told the Orlando Sentinel today that his client “has no idea who this person is.” Lippman said there were apparently four points of contact between the two men, but he has no idea what those calls entailed or the duration of them. Lippman said he doesn’t know if Anthony was supposedly calling Thompson or if the felon was calling Anthony.

Let’s see if this has any substance or it’s another desparate attempt by Casey Anthony and her lawyers to smear another person, albeit a convicted criminal. Yeah, who’s going to believe the criminal, right? They’re trying to pin Caylee Anthony’s murder on George Anthony and yes, the black man, Vasco Thompson. I’m very skeptical about this since the police didn’t haul this man in for questioning during their investigation. At least, we never heard his name until now. HLN’s Nancy Grace must be foaming at the mouth about this latest development, which will amount to another waste of time by the defense.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich-Led Bipartisan Group of Lawmakers to Sue President Obama Over Military Action in Libya

President Barack Obama will be sued by a group of “bipartisan” lawmakers, who have accused him of making an illegal end-run around Congress when he approved military action against Libya. If we could only get true bipartisanship when we really need it — high foreclosure rates, debt ceiling, high unemployment rates, etc.

“With regard to the war in Libya, we believe that the law was violated. We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” said Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who led the 10-member anti-war coalition with Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.). Source

Does anyone ever listen to Dennis Kucinich? How the heck does he continue to be reelected in his district? It is interesting to note that Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), whose wife is behind bars on bribery charges, is a part of this bipartisan group. The lawsuit comes on the heels of House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) letter to President Obama claiming military action in Libya will violate the 1973 War Powers Resolution if it isn’t ended by Friday. I would like to think that President Obama, who is a constitutional law scholar, knows what he was doing. But stranger things have happened, such as George Bush serving for two terms.

Nine Year Old WI Girl Stabs Mother’s Ex-Boyfriend, Jason Fields, for 2nd Time in Two Years to Stop Attack on her Mother

Breaking news: Nine year old WI girl stabs mother’s ex-boyfriend, Jason M. Fields, after he tried to strangle her during domestic violence incident.

SHAME: A nine year old Wisconsin girl has had to defend her mother twice by accosting her ex-boyfriend, Jason M. Fields. According to the Daily Mail, the girl stabbed Fields in the back while he was trying to strangle her. He was charged with first degree endangerment, strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Police say he got into a fight with the girl’s mother at her home at 6.15am on Monday morning.
He jumped on the woman’s car and broke her windshield but then gave her the money for it, promising to leave, according to the complaint.

The pair, who have a child together, got into another fight and Fields is alleged to have started strangling the woman and holding a knife to her throat, threatening to kill her.
The complaint said that the woman then heard Fields groan and drop the knife and she saw blood oozing from a wound in his back. She then saw that her daughter was standing over him holding a bloody kitchen knife. Her 11-year-old son then called police.

The nine-year-old is said to have told police that she was not upset by the incident as she had stabbed Fields in the leg two years earlier when he also was hurting her mother. Source

Thankfully the child came to her mother’s rescue, but obviously the mother hadn’t gotten far away from this man if she had to stab him two years ago. Solving problems through violence isn’t the answer and it is a sad commentary that this little girl has had to resort to violence to solve her mother’s problems.

In-House Attorney Josephine Robinson Sues Gucci for Racism, Claims Boss Referenced "Three-Fifths Clause" During Meeting

Gucci America accused of racism in lawsuit filed by in-house attorney Josephine Robinson, who claims company exec made reference to “Three-Fifths Clause” of U.S. Constitution when he requested black coffee with three-fifths bag of Equal.

For all those blacks who love Gucci so much, the company’s American division is being sued by an in-house attorney, Josephine Robinson, alleging racism. She was the same person who made headlines with an allegation that the company tried to underpay Rihanna because she is black. Ms. Robinson alleges she was terminated in part because of her repeated complaints about offensive and racist comments made by her boss supervising attorney Stan Sherwood. One comment bears repeating — the “Three-Fifths Clause” in the U.S. Constitution.

Ms. Robinson, who describes herself in the complaint as a “dark-skinned, Latin female of West Indian national origin,” alleges at a June 2010 meeting, Sherwood asked for “black, black, black coffee with three-fifths of equal sugar.” She claims that was a dig at the “Three-Fifths Clause” in the U.S. Constitution, says.

Robinson filed her suit on June 1 in U.S. district federal court in Manhattan. According to her LinkedIn profile, she attended law school at Pace University and New York University, and worked at the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCoy prior to joining Gucci in March 2008.

In addition to Gucci itself, Robinson’s suit names three of the company’s employees as defendants, including her boss, international tax counsel Stan Sherwood. According to his LinkedIn profile, Sherwood was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and one of its predecessor firms for almost two decades before joining Gucci in 2000. Source

Well, the allegations are certainly disturbing, but Gucci will have its day in court to respond. Until then, we are withholding any comments. It will certainly be an interesting case to follow, especially if Gucci opts to settle this mess out of court. In the meantime, Ms. Robinson needs to proceed cautiously because her background will be scrutinized to see if she is a so-called rabblerouser who likes to scream racism for everything. Just saying….
