
Macomb County MI Corrections Officer Clarence Tariq Hammond Fatally Shot During Botched Robbery Attempt
Macomb County MI corrections officer Clarence Tariq Hammond was shot and killed in a botched robbery attempt as he arrived home early Saturday morning. Clarence Tariq Hammond and his girlfriend pulled up in an empty parking space in an apartment complex located on Harlo Avenue in Madison Heights, when a subject in a van attempted to rob the couple. The suspect shot Clarence Tariq Hammond after striking him in the head, Officer Down Memorial Page reports. Officer Hammond is survived by his two young sons, 4-year-old Chance and 5-year-old Shiloh.
