CNN/ORC poll: President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are in a dead heat in the latest polls. The poll found Mitt Romney leading President Obama 48 to 47%, while President Obama leads Ron Paul 48% to 46%; leads Newt Gingrich by 52% to 43% and Rick Santorum 51% to 45%. As you can see, it’s a statistical dead heat between Obama and Mitt Romney, as well as Obama and Ron Paul. In other words, people aren’t pleased with either side. No matter what, I cannot underestimate the Obama campaign and its deep pockets. They are lying in wait for Mitt Romney to be the nominee.

Nice- at this point, incumbents usually have far bigger leads. I looked at the CNN poll data pdf- for some reason, it does not include demographic information- probably because as usual they oversampled Democrats.

A Conservative Teacher — The CNN polls tend to be heavily weighted towards Democrats. Still Obama is in statistical dead heat with Romney and that should concern the Democratic Party at this juncture.

    Janet:

If this poll was taken of Black Americans in attendance at MLK ceremonies yesterday what do you believe the breakdown between Obama/Romney would be?

It is clear that SATISFACTION with a politician is IRRELEVANT to the condition of the Black Community.

Our community has INVESTED our “Black Community Development Consciousness” into politics and the Democratic Party for decades.  Thanks to the cross pollenation that has taken place many Black leaders are unwilling to make an observation of the stagnation, lest they harm their party’s interests.
