Ronald Dean Davis died from injuries sustained when he tried to commit suicide after shooting four men at McBride Lumber Co., in Montgomery County, NC, Friday morning. Three of the men Ronald Dean Davis shot were died while a fourth is listed in critical condition.
Montgomery County Sheriff Dempsey Owens said Ronald Dean Davis targeted his victims when he entered the plant early Friday morning and started shooting with a 12-gauge shotgun, WRAL-TV reports.
Ronald Dean Davis, who had no criminal history, left a six-page letter behind at his home, which is now under investigation. Workplace violence is on the rise.
