Unemployed SC Woman Ruth Williams Who Got Money From Romney Now Part of his Stump Speech

Remember the unemployed SC woman Ruth Williams, who Mitt Romney gave a wad of cash to as she waited on the ropeline to shake his hand last weekend? You will recall I called it a photo op and a campaign stunt. Well, guess what? She’s now part of his stump speech.

“I spoke with a woman the other day who with tears running down her face said, ‘Can you find me a job, I’m looking for a job,’” said Romney at a rally this morning. “Nine point nine percent unemployment in South Carolina. It just breaks your heart to see what’s happening across the country.” Source: ABC News

So, for all the people who said I was making a big deal out of nothing, um, think again. It should also be noted that Ruth Williams worked as a volunteer at one of his campaign offices, so it’s no surprise that he handed her money. Um, Ruth Williams is nothing more than a token black for Mitt Romney to say, “see, I care about the little people.”

    Janet:

    Consider the irony.

In 2012 – Republican Mitt Romney gives a woman money and ROMNEY uses the exchange in his stump speech

In 2008 – The tale of Obama giving the woman at the airport money to purchase her ticket was used by THOUSANDS of Obama supporters in order to provoke others to vote for him.

    Strange indeed.
