More sneaker drama could be coming to a mall near you on Friday. Sneaker fanatics have begun camping out for Friday’s release of the $220 Nike Galaxy Foamposite sneakers. We could witness the same brawls that took place when the Air Jordan Concords were released in December. It’s really crazy that people could pitch a tent to be first in line to purchase sneakers.
The shoe is being released ahead of the NBA All-Star game in Orlando, hence the space theme. The shoe has a glow-in-the-dark sole, purple graphics and is made of a high tech ultra-durable foamposite material. The shoes’ waxed canvas upper simulates an astronaut’s training suit. Are these sneakers worth that much to pitch a tent days ahead of the release date?
