Whitney Houston funeral drama: Ex-husband Bobby Brown leaves minutes before funeral starts. A person familiar with the situation said Bobby Brown brought and entourage of nine people with him to the New Hope Baptist Church and wanted them to sit in the family section, the Star-Ledger reports. Of course, Bobby Brown forgot that he was almost not invited to the funeral, so he wasn’t in a position to call the shots on anything. There is some confusion about whether he was asked to leave or he left on his own accord, but obviously, this wasn’t about Whitney Houston, it was all about his ego. Why come with an entourage? Come on. Bobby Brown still has no class. It’s equally obvious that he still has no respect for Whitney Houston or her family. So much for being there for his daughter.
TMZ: “According to our sources, Brown was invited, plus two, but instead showed up with an entourage of nine people. We’re told Bobby became upset when he found out they would not seat his whole party. Our sources say Bobby wanted to sit with his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but Whitney’s family was not having it.”
Bobby Brown issued a statement saying he and his children were asked to move three times by security and doesn’t understand why. He also said he was barred from seeing his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, by security. He said he gave his ex-wife’s casket a kiss and then departed since the day was for Whitney Houston and not him. He also said his children were distraught over the whole mess with security.
