NEWSFLASH:  Mason Perry Jones, 21, is one of three suspects in the fatal shooting of Mississippi State Universitystudent John Sanderson, and has been charged with capital murder. He is accused of killing Sanderson inside the Evans Halldormitory. According to the Clarion-Ledger, police investigators received a tip that Jones had boarded a bus in Jackson and was headed north and arrested him when he arrived at the station about 7 p.m. Sunday.

The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force made the arrest of Jones on a warrant out of Jackson for armed robbery. Authorities say he is now being held in jail in DeSoto County and is expected to be charged with capital murder.

Why am I not surprised Mason Perry Jones has a rap sheet? The police have not released a motive for the murder of John Sanderson. No matter what, this student didn’t deserve to lose his life.
