D. C. councilman Marion Barry is at it again, with his xenophobic statements about Asians. This time slammed Filipino nurses at a University of the District of Columbia budget hearing Monday. From theWashington Examiner:

“In fact, it’s so bad, that if you go to the hospital now, you find a number of immigrants who are nurses, particularly from the Philippines,” Barry said. “And no offense, but let’s grow our own teachers, let’s grow our own nurses — and so that we don’t have to be scrounging around in our community clinics and other kinds of places — having to hire people from somewhere else.”

Marion Barry either forgot to take his medication or he is a moron. I remember when I was in college, my roommate said West Indians come to America and take away all their jobs. Um, really? Just look at the mindset of West Indians and you will find your answer as to why many are successful. Same thing holds true for the vile venom Marion Barry is spewing….

People on Twitter aren’t taking this lightly. Many have slammed the former drug addict:

    The more accurate drive is:

“Black people need to address our unemployment problem by training up more of our people into the higher rungs of the medical field that requires more post-secondary education.   With more people operating in this capacity we can provide more comprehensive services, targeted at our community, as provided by a person who KNOWS US because they are ONE OF OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

NO need for exclusion. We need GROWTH”.
