Black Teen Charged with Felony for Attack on White Reporters Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami (Virginian-Pilot)
JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON RACIAL VIOLENCE: A 16-year-old black teen has been charged with a felony in an April 14 attack on two Virginian-Pilot reporters, Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami, at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue and Church Street, in Norfolk, Va.
The youth, whose name was not released because of his age, is charged with felony throwing a missile at a vehicle, two counts of simple assault by mob, destruction of property and participation in a riot, interim Norfolk Police Chief Sharon Chamberlin said during a news conference this morning.
The arrest was made early this morning, Chamberlin said.
The assault happened shortly after 11 p.m. after reporters Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami left the Attucks Theatre following a show. Source
Dave Forster took to Twitter to see if there was any mention of the beating and found two disturbing tweets: ”I feel for the white man who got beat up at the light,” “I don’t, do it for ”Trayvon Martin.” I don’t care if its black-on-white or white-on-black, beating someone up is criminal and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
