President Barack Obama heads back to Atlanta for more fundraising this week and he reportedly wants to visit the set of “42″ the movie about baseball great Jackie Robinson, Deadline reports. Chadwick Boseman plays the baseball great, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier by joining the Dodgers in 1947. The movie also stars Harrison Ford as Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey. The movie is wrapping up some final background scenes in Atlanta last this week. It has been filming in Birmingham, Chattanooga and Macon.
“Well, of course I said it would be OK,” Legendary Entertainment chief Thomas Tull told Deadline. He has donated $35,800 to the Obama Victory Fund 2012, Deadline reported.
You will recall President Obama’s campaign was aided greatly when he visited Atlanta in March for a fundraiser hosted by Tyler Perry. He reportedly raised more than $734,000 from a number of fundraisers in Atlanta that month.
