Sony Pictures’ “The Amazing Spider-Man” crushed the weekend box officer raking in a whopping $65 million in its first weekend ($140 million in its first six days), followed by raunchy Universal Pictures comedy “Ted” in second place with $33 million ($120.2 million overall), with Pixar’s Scottish adventure “Brave” in third place with $20.2 million ($175 million overall gross);  Univeral Pictures gritty drama  “Savages” takes the fourth spot with $16.2 million; Warner Bros. adult comedy “Magic Mike” rounds out the top five with $16 million ($73 million overall gross).
