Romney Campaign Cries Like a Baby Over VP Joe Biden ‘Chains’ Remark, Calls it “New Low”

The Hill:  ”Mitt Romney’s campaign issued a scathing statement Tuesday, blasting the Obama campaign for hitting a “new low” after Vice President Biden’s suggestion to voters that the Republican ticket’s economic policies would “put y’all back in chains.”

Yawn….

The Romney campaign also hit a new low when they told a bare-face lie about Obama gutting the welfare reforms Bill Clinton put in place with a second ad. You can’t have it both ways. Let’s see, did Mitt Romney renounce surrogate John Sununu’s remark that Obama needs to learn to be an American? I think not. Mitt Romney and his team are a bunch of wusses!

The Obama campaign refuses to denounce Joe Biden’s comments:

‘We have no problem with those comments,” said Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.”

Pressed on whether President Obama himself agrees with those comments, Cutter said the full context of the remarks was important.

“[Obama] probably agrees with Joe Biden’s sentiments,” Cutter said. “He’s using a metaphor to talk about what’s going to happen.”

“I appreciate the faux outrage from the Romney campaign. But if you want to talk about the use of words, then take a look at MR’s stump speech where he basically calls the president ‘un-American,’” Cutter added.

Senior strategist David Axelrod also denounced the controversy, tweeting: “Enough phony outrage from Team Mitt, while they pour millions into ads that blatantly, brazenly lie aboutPOTUS record on welfare to work.” Source
