Congratulations to Atlanta-based actress Maria Howell on being entrusted with the role of Seeder in the upcoming “Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel “Catching Fire.” Seeder, a former winner from District 11, she will compete in the 75th Annual Hunger Games.
Howell is known for her voice, singing scores for the movie The Color Purple and also appearing on TV shows including Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva, The Vampire Diaries, Meet the Browns, House of Payne and in the football film The Blind Side.
Francis Lawrence is at the helm and the film will be produced by Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik and shot primarily in Atlanta. Lionsgate is set to release The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on November 22, 2013. Source
