Mitt Romney didn’t get much of a bounce from announcing Paul Ryan as his running mate. I guess that pick wasn’t so ‘bold’ after all. Seems to have been an act of desperation to me. This comes as health experts say Mitt Romney’s Medicare savings plan would actually cost more. Shhh, don’t say it out loud or he will flip-flop quicker than Usain Bolt breaking his 100m record at London Olympics.

First Read:  According to the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, 22 percent of registered voters say Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan to be his running mate makes them more likely to vote for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. That’s compared with 23 percent who say the Ryan pick makes them less likely to vote for Romney, and 54 percent who say the new running mate doesn’t affect their vote either way.

These numbers suggest the Ryan pick has had less of an impact on voters than previous running mates have had.

In 2008, 24 percent in the NBC/WSJ poll said Joe Biden made them more likely to vote for Barack Obama, versus 16 percent who said he made them less likely to vote for the Democratic ticket.

The margins for Sarah Palin in 2008 (34 percent more likely vs. 25 percent less likely), John Edwards in 2004 (28 percent vs. 7 percent), and Joe Lieberman in 2000 (20 percent vs. 7 percent) were also bigger than Ryan’s. The closest Ryan’s margin comes to is Dick Cheney’s in 2000 (16 percent more likely vs. 14 percent less likely).

In a recent NBC/WSJ poll – Mitt Romney had ZERO support among Black people. – A rate that is WORSE than what got the White folks in AL and MS called “RACISTS” when they only supported Obama to the tune of 10%.

If you could, for a moment – step away from your Anti-Romney campaign – DO you find it strange that at a time of heightened erosion of interests of the Black community AND a lock tight control by PROGRESSIVES at all rungs – does it seem strange to you that to Black Progressive Fundamentalists – Mitt Romney is a greater threat than is the STATUS QUO?
