Nigeria Church Attack in Kogi State Leaves 19 Dead, Including Pastor

NIGERIA — At least 19 people were killed in a gun attack on a church near the city of Okene in Kogi state Nigeria.  The pastor was among those killed when assailants fired Kalashnikov assault rifles, BBC reports.  No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Boko Haram violence has marred surrounding areas in the past.
