Legendary actor Sidney Poitier will honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the California African American Museum (CAAM), in a gala dinner on October 6, Indie Wire reports.
The 85 year old has been selected to receive the institution’s honor alongside fellow honoree, Los Angeles-based sculptor John Outterbridge.
Previous awardees include Herbie Hancock and Muhammad Ali.
