Rahm Emanuel smacks down Mitt Romney:  Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel dismissed a statement from GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney praising his administration for holding out against striking teachers, calling it “lip service.”

Associated Press:  “While I appreciate his lip service, what really counts is what we are doing here. I don’t give two hoots about national comments scoring political points or trying to embarrass — or whatever — the president.”

Rahm Emanuel, who previously served as President Obama’s chief of staff, suggested that if Mitt Romney truly wanted to help, he would pledge not to cut education funding.
