Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of actor Michael Duncan Clarke, who died Monday, weeks after suffering a myocardial infarction (cardiac arrest) July 13. His fiance Omarosa Manigault confirmed his death in a statement today.
Michael Duncan Clarke, best known for his Academy Award-nominated role as prison inmate John Coffey in “The Green Mile,” began his career as a celebrity bodyguard before breaking into Hollywood with roles like Bear in Armageddon. He was a bodyguard to stars like Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G.
Michael Clarke Duncan also appeared in films such as The Whole Nine Yards, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, Planet of the Apes, The Scorpion King, Daredevil, Sin City and The Island. Michael Clarke Duncan was 54. R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan.
