Paula Broadwell Identified as Woman With Whom Gen. David Petraeus Had Extra-Marital Affair
Paula Broadwell has been identified as the woman with whom CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus had extra-marital affair. She was reportedly his biographer. The affair was discovered in the course of an investigation by the FBI. Paula Broadwell wrote his biography, “All In,” and had extensive access to him. Ms. Broadwell, who is married with two children, lives in Charlotte, NC.

Gen. David Petraeus resigns as CIA Director under the Obama Administration over “extramarital affair,” US News reports.
Petraeus visited the White House on Thursday to ask President Barack Obama to accept his resignation “for personal reasons,” he said in a statement to CIA staff. “After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours.”
In a statement, Obama said he accepted Petraeus’s resignation and is “completely confident that the CIA will continue to thrive and carry out its essential mission, and I have the utmost confidence in Acting Director Michael Morell and the men and women of the CIA who work every day to keep our nation safe. Going forward, my thoughts and prayers are with Dave and Holly Petraeus, who has done so much to help military families through her own work. Gen. David Petraeus has been married to Holly Petraeus for 37 years. Men in power and sex, a dangerous combination.

After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation.As I depart Langley, I want you to know that it has been the greatest of privileges to have served with you, the officers of our Nation’s Silent Service, a work force that is truly exceptional in every regard. Indeed, you did extraordinary work on a host of critical missions during my time as director, and I am deeply grateful to you for that.

Rush Limbaugh in his continuing quest of race-baiting, played “Feliz Navidad” on his November 9 radio show, openly mocking Hispanic voters. This is a disgrace. When will Reince Preibus, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell denounce his actions? Wow, if you want to reach out to a demographic, just insult them. That’s what the Republican Party is saying by condoning this nonsense from Rush Limbaugh.
Isn’t It Time the Republican Party Purge Itself of Rush Limbaugh and His Racist Rhetoric?
Isn’t it high time for the Republican Party to “flush Rush Limbaugh” and his racist rhetoric from its ranks if it ever has any hopes of attracting blacks, Hispanics and Asians? Well, a few conservatives are leading the charge and voicing their disgust with the de facto leader of the GOP. Conor Friedersdorf and David Frum are two who issued a scathing rebuke of the windbag:
Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic Limbaugh to task for insensitive comments about race. Friedersdorf’s column, entitled, The GOP Must Choose: Rush Limbaugh or Minority Voters, slammed Limbaugh saying, ”talk like [Limbaugh's] never ceases to amaze me with its incredible lack of self-awareness.” He included a list of complaints about Limbaugh. Here are a few:
1) Stop saying things like, “Why doesn’t the Republican Party get credit for Condoleezza Rice?”2) Stop the shameless race-baiting, like telling listeners, “Obama’s America, white kids getting beat up on school buses now. You put your kids on a school bus, you expect safety but in Obama’s America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, ‘Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on,’ and, of course, everybody says the white kid deserved it, he was born a racist, he’s white.”
3) Understand that when you commission a song called “Barack the Magic Negro” for your radio show, the average black person is going to take offense. And that if you pretend to be surprised when they do take offense, no one will believe you.

6) Any gains you may make in the black community may be jeopardized if you once again muse, “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
7) As you try to understand Obama’s presidency on your show, it may be a good idea to avoidreading pieces with titles like “Obama, The African Colonial” aloud, then concluding that Obama is “more African in his roots than he is American” and is “behaving like an African colonial despot.”
8) Given your track-record of quotes like the ones previously discussed, it’s probably best to avoid jokes such as, “Barack Obama has picked up another endorsement: Halfrican-American actress Halle Berry.”
David Frum also issued a scathing rebuke of Rush Limbaugh, though he didn’t call him by name. He said the Republican Party has “been fleeced, exploited and lied to by a conservative entertainment complex.” Ouch. Here are his comments:

Media Matters also has audio of Rush accidentally referring to Hispanic voters as “illegal immigrants”. Limbaugh’s transcript omitted the slip-up.
The Flush Rush group on Facebook gained 433 new members yesterday.
In other news, CBS has three radio stations that carry Rush — St. Louis, Las Vegas, and Hartford. I thought it was of interest that CBS has just reported radio revenue is down five percent. Could be a relationship, since radio industry analyst Norm Pattiz has reported ad revenues down as much as fifty percent in some markets due to Rush.

A dead pig, clad in a Mitt Romney t-shirt was left at a Republican campaign office in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Manhattan Beach Police had to discard the pig’s head and its feet in a trash bin, but not before several passersby saw it.
“I thought it was a dead body because of the way he approached it,” said Manhattan Beach resident Andy Gaeta. “And then when he lifted the shirt, he saw the head wrapped in barbed wire and it’s cut in half, the whole skull was. It looked like something from a butcher’s market.”
The pig was laid out at the doorstep of the Republican headquarters on Highland Avenue.
OH SOS Jon Husted Latest Idea: Divide Electoral Votes by Congressional Districts Would Work in GOP’s Favor
The residents in the state of Ohio, who support the Democratic Party take note: Secretary of State Jon Husted’s latest idea, to divvy up Ohio by Congressional districts, would have handed the 18 electoral votes to Mitt Romney if he had his way:
He says we should make Ohio less important in the election by dividing up our electoral votes by Congressional district.
This is huge and should raise giant red flags. Under the current winner-take-all system, Obama won all 18 of Ohio’s electoral votes. Under Husted’s plan, 12 of those 18 electoral votes would be handed to Mitt Romney, the popular vote loser.
The reason for this is Ohio’s incredibly gerrymandered Congressional districts have been drawn to pack Democrats together so they have the majority in only 4 of the state’s 16 congressional districts. In addition to winning those four — assuming Husted would have us adopt the electoral vote allocation used by Maine and Nebraska, the only states to split their EVs by Congressional district — Obama would have also gotten the two at-large electoral votes bringing the final tally to 6 for Obama and 12 for Romney. Besides making it incredibly harder for Ohioans to take advantage of early voting with an endless barrage of ridiculous lawsuits, it’s amazing this gem missed the mainstream media. The Republicans are out to steal elections from right under us by any means necessary and Jon Husted isn’t finished yet.
Obamacare is the “law of the land” and Republicans will not continue repeal efforts. House Speaker John Boehner told NBC News :
“Well, I think the election changes that. It’s pretty clear that the president was reelected, Obamacare is the law of the land.” ”There certainly may be parts of it that we believe — need to be changed. We may do that. No decisions at this point.”
Bill Maher gave his two cents on President Obama’s routing of Mitt Romney in the presidential election and offered reasons on why Mitt Romney, “the white Barack Obama” won:
Mitt Romney has lost and he’ll soon be accepting his new job as professor of method acting at The New School in New York City. And after watching him play all these different characters over the last two years, really, who better?
Now comes the hand-wringing and finger-pointing that always follows electoral defeat; 500 columns of “If they’d done what I said, something, something, measuring the drapes in the Oval Office.” And they’ll all miss the forest for the trees. Except Dick Morris — he’s always right.
So now that I’m done telling you how everyone else will be full of shit and focusing on the wrong things, let me focus you on the big picture thing that’s absolutely correct: Mitt Romney lost because of the Republican brand and Republican policies. There are other reasons, of course, like Mitt being unlovable to anyone not named Ann Romney, but nothing trumps the idea that 2/3rds of America thinks the other 1/3 is a frightening conglomerate of Bible-thumpers, xenophobes, and vaginophobes. (Not a word, but should be.)
Take Mitt’s pivot from being “severely conservative” to being “the white Barack Obama.” Sure, everyone tacks to the middle after the primaries, but Mitt’s performance was different: it was a full-scale repudiation of just about every idea that conservatives hold dear. The positions were changed. The rhetoric was completely different. He was basically Barack Obama, Caucasian Edition. Source
The bottom line is that Mitt Romney misjudged the power of the Obama ground game, even though they had a clear money advantage. In short, they don’t know how to play the game that led Barack Obama to victory against John McCain in 2008. The Republican Party has a Dr. Seuss problem.
