Scandal hits real-life:  The David Petraeus and Paula Broadwell scandal that ensnared Jill Kelley has reached television drama “Scandal,” which stars Kerry Washington as Washington D.C. crisis firm, Smith & Co., founder Judy Smith. Turns out Jill Kelley has hired Smith to help clean up her mess. Here’s an excerpt from Ebony.

Jill Kelley, the Florida woman who Sunday was identified as the person who sparked an FBI investigation that uncovered CIA Director General David Petraeus’ extramarital affair, has enlisted the help of Washington-based crisis firm Smith & Co., according to news reports

Smith & Co. didn’t respond to a request for comment. USA Today reported that Ms. Kelley and her husband, Scott, hired Smith & Co.’s founder, PR maven Judy Smith, and attorney Abbe Lowell. Fox News, in writing about the FBI probe, also noted Smith & Co.’s new role in working with the Kelley family.

Details in the Petraeus scandal have been continually revealed since the scandal broke Friday, but many questions remain. The Senate Intelligence Committee will investigate why the FBI failed to immediately tell the White House and Congress when it discovered that ex-CIA director had an extramarital affair.

This is straight out of an episode of “Scandal.” Eerie. I hope Judy Smith got paid up front for her services, since Jill Kelley and her husband have been sued by multiple financial institutions and have ran up their credit cards. Talk about living on plastic just for appearances sake.

It’s ironic how Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham have the hatchet out for Dr. Susan Rice, who the former claims isn’t qualified for the Secretary of State job. Here are some of her accomplishments:  valedictorian, Stanford Phi Beta Kappa,  Rhodes Scholar,  Oxford Ph.D.  Dr. Susan Rice also served under the Clinton administration as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and also served on the staff of the National Security Council. McCain has had a longstanding war of sorts with Susan Rice.

She  attended Stanford University, where she received a Truman Scholarship  and graduated with a B.A. in history in 1986 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She was awarded a Rhodes scholarship and attended New College Oxford where she earned a M. Phil in 1988 and PhD in 1990. Her dissertation, entitled “Commonwealth Initiative in Zimbabwe, 1979-1980: Implication for International Peacekeeping” was honored by the Chatham House-British International Studies Association as UK’s most distinguished in international relations.

Dr. Rice also served as a foreign policy aide to 1988 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis and again in the 2004 presidential campaign of John Kerry. She was also a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. She was also managing director and principal at Intellibridge and worked at Brookings Institution as a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy and Global Economy and Development program.

Fox News (surprise, surprise) also has the hatchet out for her citing her “miserable” record at the U.N., claiming she skipped crucial meetings and undermined the Bush Administration. Well, considering their abysmal record on reporting the truth, I’ll pass on deeming this a credible position. Fox News contributor John Bolton was a bully at the U.N., but the network would never tell you the truth. It goes against their vendetta against President Obama.

John McCain and Lindsey Graham have just improved Susan Rice’s chances of being nominated and confirmed to replace Hillary Clinton.  Here’s two interesting takes on a possible Susan Rice nomination:

Bloomberg:  Obama’s “spirited defense” of Rice “has moved her a step closer to being named to succeed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

First Read:  ”If you thought that Obama might decide to pass on nominating Susan Rice to be the next Secretary of State, think again. Yesterday’s confrontation might have been the best thing to happen to her chances of being nominated. The president is a pragmatist and is usually someone who likes to avoid confirmation fights for his appointees. But the more the GOP attacks Rice, the more dug in the White House and president might get.”

Now McCain’s bold veep pick Sarah Palin, attended five colleges in six years to get one Bachelor’s degree, can’t finish anything she starts, couldn’t name one periodical she regularly reads. couldn’t cite a Supreme Court case and saw Russia from her backyard. I can only sum up Sarah Palin’s accomplishment with the following cartoon:

OH State Senator Nina Turner’s New Meaning for GOP: “Get Out of My Panties” Over Anti-Abortion Bill

You’ve got to hand it to Ohio lawmaker Nina Turner, she stands up for what she believes and we should too. Ms. Turner wore a gutsy t-shirt yesterday:  G.O.P. — “get out of my panties.”

This comes as Ohio Republican lawmakers are renewing their push to strip funding from Planned Parenthood and Nina Turner isn’t hearing any of their nonsense. During a Planned Parenthood press conference to oppose the new anti-abortion bill put forward by Republicans, Nina Turner wore a provocative t-shirt that suggested the new meaning of GOP (Grand Ole Party) is now “Get Out of My Panties.”

Ohio Republicans are also proposing a revival of the “heartbeat bill,” which would ban all abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. The bill doesn’t make any exceptions in cases such as rape, incest or if the life of the mother is threatened.

Maine GOP Chairman Charlie Webster Claims Hundreds of Unkown Black People Voted in Rural Towns

More race-baiting from the Republican Party:  Maine GOP chairman Charlie Webster is alleging possible voter fraud, saying that  groups of unknown black people showed up in some rural towns to vote on Election Day.

“In some parts of rural Maine, there were dozens, dozens of black people who came in and voted on Election Day,” he said. “Everybody has a right to vote, but nobody in (these) towns knows anyone who’s black. How did that happen? I don’t know. We’re going to find out.”

When asked about the issue in an interview Wednesday with the Portland Press Herald, Webster again refused to provide specifics. He said his point is not that the new voters were black, but that they were not recognized by town officials.

“I’m not talking about 15 or 20. I’m talking hundreds,” he said Wednesday. “I’m not politically correct and maybe I shouldn’t have said these voters were black, but anyone who suggests I have a bias toward any race or group, frankly, that’s sleazy.” Source

The Republicans tried to suppress the black and Hispanic vote and it backfired, now they are making up lies about black voter fraud. Give me a break. Guess what? Four more years of Obama. The Republican Party wants black and Hispanic votes, but is content to insult us as they hold their hands out.

If you patronize Denny’s, you’d better think twice.  John Metz, who operates 40 Denny’s restaurants and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise, has decided to offset the cost of Obamacare (Affordable Care Act), by adding a five percent surcharge to customers’ bills and will reduce his employees’ work hours. He justified the move by claiming it is ‘the only alternative. I’ve got to pass on the cost to the customer.’

Obamacare requires businesses or franchises with more than 50 workers must offer an approved insurance plan or pay a penalty of $2,000 for each full-time worker over 30 workers.

The program mandates that only employees working more than 30 hours a week are covered under their employers health insurance plan, chains like Olive Garden and Red Lobster are already considering reduced worker hours. Source:  Daily Mail

Frederick Humphries Identified as FBI Agent Who Sent Shirtless Picture to Jill Kelley

Frederick Humphries, 47,  has confirmed that he is the FBI agent who initiated the investigation that brought down ex-CIA boss David Petraeus and also confirmed sending topless photograph years ago.

The New York Times reports Humphries believed that the case was purposefully being stalled for political reasons. In October, he contacted Rep.  Dave Recihert (R-WA), where he had worked before to ask for his help deliberately going over his bosses heads. Reichert directed him to House majority leader, Eric Cantor who eventually passed the message onto the FBI director, Robert S. Mueller, the Daily Mail reports.

Here’s more on Frederick Humphries from Daily Mail:

  • Frederick Humphries, 47, was the agent who initially saw the emails the FBI said Petraeus’ biographer and mistress, Paula Broadwell, sent to Tampa socialite Jill Kelley, a woman she apparently saw as a rival for Petraeus’ affections. 
  • Humphries joined the FBI in 1996 and first came to prominence in 1999 after an Algerian man was arrested by U.S. Customs agents as he tried to enter Washington state from Canada by ferry. Ahmed Ressam had white powder, chemicals and homemade timing devices in the trunk of his car.
  • Ressam claimed to be a French-speaker from Quebec. According to a 2002 Seattle Times story, Humphries, then the only French-speaker assigned to the FBI’s Seattle office, was asked to question him. As soon as Humphries heard Ressam’s accent and phrasing, he knew he wasn’t from Quebec and told his colleagues to arrest him, the story said. It was later learned Ressam was part of an al-Qaida plot to blow up the Los Angeles airport on New Year’s Eve 1999.
  • By 2010, Humphries had been assigned to the FBI’s Tampa office and was its liaison to MacDill, home to the military’s Central Command.
  • On May 19, 2010, 61-year-old Army veteran Ronald J. Bullock, who was camping at the base, got into an altercation with base security.
  • Officials said Bullock sped off on a motorcycle, but was stopped by other security officers and Humphries as he tried to exit a gate. They said he got off the motorcycle and came at Humphries and the officers while brandishing a knife. Humphries fired, killing Bullock. The shooting was later ruled justified.

SMH:  Georgia lawmakers, led by Chip Rogers R-Woodstock,  got together in October, emceed by conservative activist Field Searcy, to face the pending mind control effort by President Obama to subject the country to a UN-run communist dictatorship. Also in attendance were  state Sens. Buddy Carter, R-Pooler, and Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville. Georgia is full of right wing nutjobs.

Mother Jones:  On October 11, at a closed-door meeting of the Republican caucus convened by the body’s majority leader, Chip Rogers, a tea party activist told Republican lawmakers that Obama was mounting this most diabolical conspiracy. The event—captured on tape by a member of the Athens-based watchdog Better Georgia (who was removed from the room after 52 minutes)—had been billed as an information session on Agenda 21, a nonbinding UN agreement that commits member nations to promote sustainable development. In the eyes of conservative activists, Agenda 21 is a nefarious plot that includes forcibly relocating non-urban-dwellers and prescribing mandatory contraception as a means of curbing population growth. The invitation to the Georgia state Senate event noted the presentation would explain: “How pleasant sounding names are fostering a Socialist plan to change the way we live, eat, learn, and communicate to ‘save the earth.’”

…About 23 minutes into the briefing, Searcy explained how President Obama, aided by liberal organizations like the Center for American Progress and business groups like local chambers of commerce, are secretly using mind-control techniques to push their plan for forcible relocation on the gullible public.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal repudiates Mitt Romney’s claims that he lost the presidential election because of gifts President Obama doled out to blacks, Hispanics and young voters.  Um, where’s my gift Mr. President? This just plays right into Mitt Romney’s 47 percent of Americans are deadbeats comments. Just shows he really meant what he said. Here’s Bobby Jindal’s take:

Politico:  Gov. Jindal: “No, I think that’s absolutely wrong. Two points on that: One, we have got to stop dividing the American voters. We need to go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent. We need to go after every single vote.”

“And, secondly, we need to continue to show how our policies help every voter out there achieve the American Dream, which is to be in the middle class, which is to be able to give their children an opportunity to be able to get a great education. … So, I absolutely reject that notion, that description. I think that’s absolutely wrong.”

When Bobby Jindal is the voice of reason, you know the Republican Party is in bigger trouble than it cares to admit. Where are all the black Republicans? Are you going to sit there and allow Mitt Romney and the GOP clown car to continue to insult us as a people?
