URGENT: Two people died after a shooting at the Con Agra Foods plant in Indianapolis. Fox59 reports that witnesses told police the victim was sitting in the break room when the suspected gun man walked in, made eye contact with him, left the room, only to return and open fire. The victim died at the hospital, while the gunman died in the break room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
If you live in Pinetop, AZ, and you voted for President Obama, don’t bother going to Southwest Shooting Authority gun shop to purchase a gun, your’re not welcome, according to the White Mountain Independent. The shop is owned by Cope Reynolds, who is also a card-carrying member of the secessionist movement.

Rev. Franklin Graham, like Mitt Romney, is wearing out his welcome. He is now saying Mitt Romney lost the presidential election because the majority of Christians didn’t go out to vote. Um, really? I’m a Christian and I voted for Barack Obama.
Franklin Graham told David Brody: “We know that from of the statistics that I’ve heard that the majority of Christians in this country just did not vote for whatever reason. The vast majority of evangelicals did not go to the polls. God is in control, and if Christians are upset, they need to be upset at themselves. We need to do a better job of getting our people- the church to vote. Now, I’m not trying to tell you how to vote, you can vote, but vote, my goodness, and vote for candidates that stand for Biblical values.”
First Read: “But Graham’s assertion — and implication that had white Christian evangelicals just showed up in bigger numbers, President Obama would have lost — is off base. In fact, white evangelicals/born-again Christians made up the same percentage of the electorate as they did in 2008 – 26%. They voted for Mitt Romney, a devout Mormon, by a wider margin than they did for Sen. John McCain four years ago.”

Curtain call for Hostess, the maker of Twinkies. The company, that also makes iconic baked goods such as Wonder Bread and Devil Dogs, said it is asking a federal bankruptcy court for permission to cease operations, blaming its problems on a strike by bakers protesting a new contract. Here’s an excerpt from its press release:
The Board of Directors authorized the wind down of Hostess Brands to preserve and maximize the value of the estate after one of the Company’s largest unions, the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM), initiated a nationwide strike that crippled the Company’s ability to produce and deliver products at multiple facilities.
On Nov. 12, Hostess Brands permanently closed three plants as a result of the work stoppage. On Nov. 14, the Company announced it would be forced to liquidate if sufficient employees did not return to work to restore normal operations by 5 p.m., EST p.m., Nov. 15. The Company determined on the night of Nov. 15 that an insufficient number of employees had returned to work to enable the restoration of normal operations.
The BCTGM in September rejected a last, best and final offer from Hostess Brands designed to lower costs so that the Company could attract new financing and emerge from Chapter 11. Hostess Brands then received Court authority on Oct. 3 to unilaterally impose changes to the BCTGM’s collective bargaining agreements.
Hostess Brands is unprofitable under its current cost structure, much of which is determined by union wages and pension costs. The offer to the BCTGM included wage, benefit and work rule concessions but also gave Hostess Brands’ 12 unions a 25 percent ownership stake in the company, representation on its Board of Directors and $100 million in reorganized Hostess Brands’ debt.
“We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike,” said Gregory F. Rayburn, chief executive officer. “Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders.”
In addition to dozens of baking and distribution facilities around the country, Hostess Brands will sell its popular brands, including Hostess®, Drakes® and Dolly Madison®, which make iconic cake products such as Twinkies®, CupCakes, Ding Dongs®, Ho Ho’s®, Sno Balls® and Donettes®. Bread brands to be sold include Wonder®, Nature’s Pride ®, Merita®, Home Pride®, Butternut®, and Beefsteak®, among others.
The Madison Capital Times reports Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker (R) “does not agree with nine Republican state lawmakers who say they would support arresting federal officials who try to implement President Barack Obama’s health care law in Wisconsin.”

Same sex, same problems like heterosexuals. Ex-WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw is sitting in the Fulton County, Ga., jail Friday morning after being arrested on aggravated assault charges against her ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lacy, also a WNBA player.
Lacy, 29, told police she was working out at a church on Ponce de Leon Avenue Tuesday when Chamique Holdsclaw approached her and said she wanted to put some items in her car. She said she left the church and Holdsclaw followed her. She went to a friend’s home and then Holdsclaw got out of her car and started smashing the windows of Lacy’s Range Rover with a baseball bat. She then fired a gun inside the car.
Chamique Holdsclaw has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and reckless conduct. She is being held on $10,000 bond. Holdsclaw is currently the spokeswoman for Active Minds, an organization that says it is “dedicated to empowering students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and increase help seeking.” Wow, some way to teach young people to resolve conflicts is with violence.
Domestic violence is real and cuts across socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, race and creed. No man or woman deserves to be terrorized by someone who claims to love them.

He’s baaaack! Newt Gingrich that is. The former presidential candidate lacerated Mitt Romney on his comment about Obama won because he gave gifts to blacks, Hispanics and young voters. Gingrich zinged Romney, telling Evan Smith that his explanation was “insulting and profoundly wrong.” Gingrich said,
“He had enough billionaire supporters that if buying the electorate was the key, he could have got all of his super PAC friends together and said, ‘Don’t buy ads, give gifts.’”
