Former U.S. boxer Hector ‘Macho’ Camacho dies after being removed from life support on Saturday. He was shot in the face outside a liquor store in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was 50. His childhood friend Adrian Mojica Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene of the drive-by shooting.
Hector ‘Macho’ Camacho had been declared brain dead on Thursday after the shooting earlier in the week. Police are investigating the shooting but no arrests have been made. Doctors said Camacho was shot in the jaw. The bullet fractured two vertebrae and lodged in his shoulder, damaging the arteries that carried blood to the brain. Nine small bags of cocaine were found in the car and a tenth was found open in the car.
