Obamacare and the states: The Obama administration is extending the deadline for states to decide whether and how to create a health insurance exchange under the Affordable Health Care Act and the Wall Street Journal has a great map on each state’s decision so far.
Wall Street Journal: “The options are forcing GOP officials across the country to decide whether to go against the party’s traditional belief in states’ rights, and let the federal government step in—or to run their own exchange and risk signaling that they’re enabling a law they don’t support.”
“The issue was at the forefront of discussions among leaders at the Republican Governors Association meeting in Las Vegas this week, where even some leading critics of the law suggested they might be open to cooperation with the federal government.”
