SHAMEFUL: Amanda Davis, longtime anchor at Fox Atlanta affiliate, WAGA, was arrested early Sunday morning on DUI charges after a wrong-way accident with David Jarman, early Sunday morning (12:30 a.m.) on Piedmont Avenue. Amanda Davis was also charged with failure to maintain lanes and reckless driving.
The police investigator said Amanda Davis refused to submit to a field sobriety test and the State Administered Chemical Test, but a DUI officer found probable cause to arrest her for impaired driving, WXIA reports. Her driver’s license was confiscated and she was taken to jail.
11 Alive News: Atlanta Police Sgt. Gregory Lyon said Davis was arrested at around midnight after an accident on Piedmont Avenue near 14th Street. He said the crash scene suggested Davis was driving northbound in a southbound lane when her green Fiat collided head on with a black Toyota.
