Sports columnist David Whitley is under fire after he compared black San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to residents of San Quentin state prison because of his tattoos. Whitley said Kaepernick cannot be a role model because of the tattoos and defended himself against racism accusations saying he adopted two black daughters. He claimed Colin Kaepernick’s body art brings down the tone of the position of quarterback, which he considers “hallowed,” and that he can never be a legitimate hero.

Um, why is David Whitley picking on the black guy? How about David Beckham and many other white athletes whose bodies are covered in tattoos? I just love how David Whitley threw in the fact that he adopted two black kids. Strom Thurmond, a one-time member of the Ku Klux Klan, had a baby with a black woman, and kept it hidden for years.

Casper College Attack: Christopher Krumm Kills Dad, James Krumm, and Girlfriend Heidi Arnold

Police have identified the man who killed one in Casper College and another on Hawthorne Street before killing himself as Christopher Krumm, 25, of Vernon, Conn. He killed his father, James Krumm, with a bow-and-arrow in front of horrified students in the Wold Physical Science Center, where he was a computer science instructor. Christopher Krumm killed his father’s girlfriend, Heidi Arnold, 42, about two miles southwest of Casper College before killing his father. Christopher Krumm Christopher graduated from the University of Colorado in 2008. He was a student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher kills girlfriend Kasandra Perkins after the two got in an argument Saturday morning. He then committed suicide in front of the coach and GM at the team’s training facility near Arrowhead Stadium. The Daily Mail reports  a friend said they quarreled frequently, and added that they fought when Perkins arrived home at 1 a.m. after attending a Trey Songz concert.

A friend also told the Kansas City Star she had frequently seen them argue over the course of their relationship – though she had no reason to believe their fights had ever become violent. Kasandra Perkins’ family members told TMZ, ”Jovan and Kasandra always seemed to be in love. In fact, when Kasandra got pregnant, she and Jovan were ecstatic. Ever since the baby was born in September, the two couldn’t have seemed happier together.”

SHOCK:  A Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher committed suicide Saturday morning at the team’s training facility near Arrowhead Stadium. There are reports he killed his girlfriend and then drove to the Kansas City Chiefs facility and committed suicide.

Police are investigating two deadly shootings Saturday morning that they said are related. The shootings involve a Chiefs player and his girlfriend.

The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near East 54th Terrace and Crysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility. Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself.

It’s unknown if people were at Arrowhead or any of its surrounding facilities at the time. The Chiefs confirmed the shooting in a written statement saying, “We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.” Source

UPDATE#1 (12/01/12 12:30 p.m.) From Kansas City Star:

Police Capt. David Lindaman said Belcher, 25, and his girlfriend, 22, got into an argument around 7 a.m. at their home in the 5400 block of Crysler Avenue in Kansas City. Around 7:50 a.m., Lindaman said, Belcher shot his girlfriend multiple times. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Lindaman said Belcher’s mother, who was visiting the couple and their 3-month-old daughter, witnessed the shooting and was being interviewed by police.

Belcher left the scene on Crysler and went to the Chiefs practice facility at Arrowhead, police said.
