Three Killed, Including Gunman, One Injured in Shooting at Clackamas Town Center Mall Near Portland OR

BREAKING NEWS:  Three killed, including the gunman, one wounded with traumatic injury, after man opens fire at the Clackamas Town Center mall, near Portland OR. A man was reportedly brandishing a semi-automatic rifle. Emergency dispatchers received reports that the shooting may have occurred near Macy’s and the man was seen with an AR-15 rifle near the food court, the Oregonian reports.

A police spokesman said there are multiple people wounded but would not confirm how many people were killed. He also said the shooter has been neutralized. The shooter was reportedly wearing a hockey mask and possibly a body armor.

Sgt. Stephanie Moses, Photographed with Obama at 9/11 Ceremony, Found Dead in Apparent Suicide

WTF:  NYPD Sgt. Stephanie Moses, who was photographed with President Obama during a 9/11 anniversary wreath ceremony, was found dead in an apparent suicide in her Long Island home Tuesday, the NY Daily News reports. Stephanie Moses’ body was found in her Baldwin home with an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. She was a 17 year veteran of the New York Police Department. It is being reported that Sgt. Stephanie Moses killed herself in the bedroom of her home after a fight with her lesbian lover Melissa McCoy, a retired NYPD detective.

Shamela Gaskin, Mother of 3, Fatally Shot Behind Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn NY

SHOCK:  Shamela Gaskin, a Brooklyn mother of three, was gunned down Tuesday morning by a passerby as she stood behind Brookdale Hospital, where one of her children was undergoing treatment for an asthma attack.

Shamela Gaskin had brought her own 8-year-old daughter Saniyah Gaskin-Miley to Brookdale Hospital — which is just blocks from their home — yesterday morning when the child began suffering an asthma attack. The child’s dad accompanied them there. Source

This comes one day after Brandon Lincoln Woodard was gunned down in an execution-style hit in front of Saint Thomas Choir School in midtown Manhattan Monday afternoon.

New York police release a surveillance video of the suspect in the execution-style shooting of Brandon Lincoln Woodard outside Saint Thomas Choir School in midtown Manhattan yesterday afternoon.

UPDATED 8:52 a.m. ET (12/12/12) NY Post:   “The assassin escaped in a getaway car. Cops early this morning were questioning the couple who rented the car, The Post has learned, although investigators don’t believe they were driving it — but they are looking at the possibility they may have loaned it to someone who then used it in the crime.”

“Earlier on that fateful day, the law student appeared nervous as he had what turned out to be his final breakfast, at the La Parisienne diner. “He ate breakfast at the counter but he was always looking over his shoulder,” said cashier Dimitrios Drimalitis, 61. “He looked scared and afraid of something.””

BREAKING NEWS:  Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Busharrested on suspicion of corruption, officials report.

Premier McKeeva Bush was arrested at his home in the West Bay section of Grand Cayman Island by officers from the financial unit of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, said spokeswoman Janet Dougall.

The 57-year-old Bush was detained “in connection with a number of ongoing police investigations,” Dougall said in a statement. Those include probes into suspected theft related to misuse of a government credit card and breach of trust for the alleged importation of unspecified explosive substances without valid permits. McKeeva Bush’s arrest comes less than a week after former Turks & Caicos premier Michael Misick, who is the ex-husband of LisaRaye McCoy, was arrested on an international warrant in Brazil. He will be extradited to the Caribbean double islands to stand trial for corruption.

Bloomberg:   “A former Citigroup Inc. (C) trader is among three people held in the first U.K. arrests as part of global probes into tampering with the London interbank offered rate, according to two people familiar with the matter.”

“Thomas Hayes, a former trader at UBS AG and Citigroup, was arrested by the Serious Fraud Office and City of London Police today, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the investigation is ongoing. The three men arrested, ranging in age from 33 to 47, are all British nationals living in the U.K., the SFO said in an e-mailed statement.”

University of Texas Professor Lino Graglia Claims Black Students Failing Because Raised by Poor Single Women

The University of Texas is in the news again. This time Law professor Lino Graglia claims black and Hispanic students are failing academically because they have been raised in single parent homes usually by females. Lino Graglia told BBC he could ‘hardly imagine a less beneficial or more deleterious experience than to be raised by a single parent, usually female, uneducated and without a lot of money.’ He also added that the average black performance on SAT test is 200 points lower than that for the average white student and that among the black population almost three quarters of children are now born outside of marriage.
