NEWTOWN SHOOTING TRAGEDY: Courtni Webb, a San Francisco high school senior, is facing possible expulsion for writing a poem about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting massacre. She wrote that she could see what drove Adam Lanza to commit such a heinous act. She wrote in her poem, ”I understand the killings in Connecticut. I know why he pulled the trigger.” CBS Atlanta reports a teacher saw Courtni Webb’s poem and turned it over to the principal. School officials have reportedly said they have zero tolerance where violence or the threat of violence is concerned.
