Lauren Rousseau identified as the fourth teacher killed by Adam Lanza during Sandy Hook Elementary shooting rampage

Adam Lanza, who was taught to fire a gun by his mother, Nancy Lanza, reportedly visited Sandy Hook Elementary School Thursday and got into an altercation with four teachers, only to return on Friday, killing 26, including 20 children. Three of the four teachers are now dead, one was not present at the school on Friday. The four teachers killed in the shooting rampage are principal Dawn Hochsprung, 47, school psychologist Mary Sherlach, 56, first grade teacher Victoria Soto, 27, and Lauren Rousseau, 30.

Mother Nancy Lanza often took her kids target shooting, landscaper Dan Holmes said. ‘That was a passion,’ he said. ‘The whole family would go together.’ Her 20-year-old son Adam killed her with one of her own guns before using them to murder 20 children at the elementary school where she once worked. I don’t understand how the mother could allow her son to have access to her firearms considering he had mental health challenges. This was a tragedy of untold proportions. These children and school teachers didn’t deserve this. At a press conference, Dr. H. Wayne Carver, CT chief medical examiner, said the Bushmaster .223 caliber assault rifle was used in the shooting. He also said some victims had 3-7 bullet wounds. He also said the families have not had contact with the bodies yet and their examination will be completed by Sunday. He said all the deaths have been classified as homicides and were caused by gunfire.
