CHICAGO GUN VIOLENCE: Michael McNabb and Stephen Gilbert were charged Friday night in the fatal shooting of 17 year old Tyrone Lawson outside a high school basketball game at Chicago State University. Michael McNabb, 32, of Chicago and Stephen Gilbert, 29, of Alsip, were charged with first degree murder in the Wednesday murder.
The shooting occurred after an argument broke out in the handshake line after the game, but it is not clear whether the two incidents are related.
Both men are due to appear in for a bond hearing Saturday at the George Leighton Criminal Courts Building, the Chicago Tribune reports.
