DENVER DOUBLE MURDER-SUICIDE: Three people were found dead, including two children, at a home at 4920 N. Pearl Street in Denver, Colo., the Denver Post reports. The names and the ages of the children have not been released. Police responded to the home after a 911 call.
UPDATE# 1: The Denver Post reports, “Rosalinda Bustillos, 21, said her father-in-law heard a couple of gunshots around 5 a.m. “Right after that a truck took off really fast,” Bustillos said. Tires were squealing as the vehicle sped away, she added. Her father-in-law does not speak English and stayed inside because he was scared, Bustillos said. Their two German shepherd dogs started barking loud.”
UPDATE#2: KDVR reports the shooting was a double murder-suicide. A mother killed her two kids, attempted to kill a third, before taking her life in an apparent double murder-suicide.
A third child is listed in critical condition at an area hospital. The child reportedly underwent surgery. According to the Tax Assessors’ office records, the duplex at 4920 Pearl Street is owned by Irving Financial Trust.
UPDATE#3 (02/06/13): The victims have been identified as Myra Perez and her children, her two kids, Eric, 2 and Nivek, 6. Isabel, 3, is clinging to life at Denver Health.
