71 Haitian migrants rescued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Coast Guard after they were found stranded on the shores of cluster islands west of Puerto Rico. Two migrants were reportedly found on one island and the rest were rescued from the island of Desecheo off the western coastal town of Rincon.
A Customs spokesman said the Haitians were dehydrated, had bruises and scratches. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
This comes one week after 67 migrants from Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republican were found in the same cluster islands.
