Gregory G. Rodriguez, Host of ‘A Rifleman’s Journal’ Killed by Wayne Bengston in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Gregory G. Rodriguez, host of “A Rifleman’s Journal,” which aired on the Sportsman Channel, was shot to death in Whitefish, Mont., by Wayne Bengston, the husband of a woman he had been visiting in an apparent murder-suicide.

Gregory G. Rodriguez was visiting Bengston’s wife at her mother’s house when he showed up at 10:30 p.m. He was shot multiple times. Wayne Bengston roughed up his wife and drove her and their two year old son to a relative’s house, then went back to his home and committed suicide Friday, Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry told reporters.

Gregory G. Rodriguez leaves behind a wife and two children, the Billings Gazette reports. He was the founder and CEO of Global Adventure Outfitters, an editor at Shooting Times Magazine and a contributing editor at Petersen’s Hunting: Guns &Ammo and Dangerous Game Hunting.
