Man Yelling ‘Fake Preacher’ Stabs Four at St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Albuquerque NM

SHOCK:  Four people were stabbed at the St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Albuquerque, NM, about 12:15 p.m. Sunday. KOAT Action 7 News reports, shortly after communion, a man charged the choir shouting, “fake preacher,” and began stabbing choir members. Two of the victims are listed in critical condition.

KOB is also reporting that four people were stabbed. The suspect, who is reportedly in his 20s, is being questioned by police after he was apprehended by parishioners.

UPDATE#1 (04/29/13) — Lawrence Capener has been identified as the suspect in the St. Jude Thaddeus Church stabbing, reportedly attacked choir director Adam Alvarez, then subdued for several parishioners, with three stabbed in the process.
