SHOCK: Eight-year-old Alaysha Carradine was killed and two of her friends — Amara York, 7 and her four-year-old brother- were injured when a gunman opened fire on the house they were in Wednesday night on Oakland, Calif. An adult in the home was shot in the leg.
According to media reports, Alaysha Carradine was at the home for a sleepover because her mother was away on vacation in Washington D.C. Investigators have not named any suspects, but a $25,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest is being offered.
Oakland Unified School District spokesman Troy Flint said Alaysha Carradine would have been a third-grader at Fruitvale Elementary School in the fall, WPIX reports. Carradine was an aspiring model and was scheduled along with her friend for a modeling shoot Thursday.
