Arsenio Hall and Queen Latifah are returning to the airwaves with two new talk shows. You will recall, Hall used to be a viable alternative to Johnny Carson in the early 1990s. He disappeared from prominence after having Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan on his show. He got gigs here and there — appearing on CBS’s “Martial Law” and “Star Search.”
After winning “Celebrity Apprentice,” Arsenio Hall landed a new late-night talk-show. Um, Donald Trump will be sure to take credit for Hall’s revival. Arsenio Hall will be seen on CW69 in Atlanta, starting September at 11 p.m., replacing a repeat of “Family Feud” followed by “Rules of Engagement.”
The Queen is back — Queen Latifah, that is. Her talk show will debut on the CW 69 at 6 p.m., which is kind of unusual since it will be competing with the evening news and cable network political talk shows.
