Demetrius Glenn, 16, arrested for the beating death of World War II veteran Delbert Belton. Glenn, 16, was charged with first degree murder and first degree robbery. A second suspect is still at large. Belton died Thursday morning from injuries sustained in the Wednesday night beating.
The second suspect has been identified as Kenan Adams-Kinard, Police Chief Frank Straub said. He said Adams-Kinard should be considered a threat to the community.
Spokesman-Review: “Both suspects have violent criminal records, according to court documents. Adams-Kinard was convicted of third-degree theft and fourth-degree assault in June, and Glenn has a history of fourth-degree assault, riot and eluding law enforcement. Glenn also has two pending charges of mischievous mischief and driving with a suspended license.”
Some on the right will characterize this as a hate crime, but I don’t believe it was racially motivated. These young thugs saw an elderly man and wanted to rob him. This is such a travesty and I hope they throw them under the prison. I hope we won’t see the parents of Demetrius Glenn and Kenan Adams-Kinard coming out and saying their sons are good young men. Their criminal records speak volumes.
