Presidential wannabe Rep. Peter King ripped President Obama during an appearance on “Meet the Press” saying he had bungled the run up to a military strike against Syria, even pulling out the “community organizer” line used during the 2008 presidential campaign.
King said, “I wish the president had laid this out better, I wish he’d quit backing away from his own red line, and I wish he was more a commander in chief than a community organizer.” MTP host David Gregory was taken aback, asking “Why do you say that?”“That’s like a campaign line.”
Peter King responded, “For one year he says this red line is there. The red line was crossed, he sends Kerry and Hagel out, we’re all set to basically have this attack, we’re told Congress is not needed, at the eleventh hour he brings in Congress, and then he says it’s not his red line. Here’s a person who’s vacillating. I can’t imagine imagine Harry Truman or John Kennedy or Ronald Reagan or Dwight Eisenhower ever putting the country in a position like this militarily.”
Um, it seems that Rep. Peter King has forgotten that the ‘community organizer’ beat the Republican nominee twice by big margins.
