Lee Weathersby III identified as teenager who died after being shot on New Year’s Eve while walking to East Oakland, Calif., home from a recreation center.
The Mercury News reports Lee Weathersby was shot multiple times by at least one gunman about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday as he walked near the intersection of 104th Avenue and Walnut Street, a few blocks from his home. He became Oakland’s first homicide victim of 2014.
