Two NYPD officers were shot last night, one in critical condition, responding to a robbery at the Welcome 2 Yemen deli in the Tremont section of the Bronx late Monday night.

The NYPD has released a video of one of the suspects wanted in the shootings. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the suspect and his accomplice.

“Officer Andrew Dossi, 30, was shot in the arm and back, while Officer Aliro Pellerano, 38, was shot in the arm and abdoment at about 10:30 p.m. in Fordham Heights,” the New York Daily News reports. Both men are expected to recover from their injuries.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said Officer Dossi is in critical but stable condition. The officers, who were in plainclothes, were assigned to the 46th Precinct’s five-person anti-crime unit, Bratton said.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, who visited the officers last night, decried the shooting. He said, “This is another indicator of the dangers that all officers face in the line of duty. We depend on them to keep this whole city safe.”
