Three officers were assassinated, three wounded after being ambushed in Baton Rouge shooting on Sunday morning. One suspect has been killed. Police are looking for other suspects.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office says it believes there are two more suspects at large.
The officers were murdered after responding to a call of shots fired at about 9 a.m. It involved Baton Rouge police officers and East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputies.
There are reports that the shooter was armed with assault-style rifle and dressed in camouflage.
The shooting occurred about one miile from police headquarters. Residents are being urged to stay in doors and contact law enforcement if they see anything suspicious.

This shooting comes days after Alton Sterling, who was killed in an officer-involved shooting, was laid to rest. Philando Castile, who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Minnesota, was also laid to rest last week.
