Classified documents presented to President Obama and Donald Trump “included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump,” CNN reports.
“The allegations were presented in a two-page synopsis that was appended to a report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The allegations came, in part, from memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative, whose past work US intelligence officials consider credible.”
“The FBI is investigating the credibility and accuracy of these allegations, which are based primarily on information from Russian sources, but has not confirmed many essential details in the memos about Mr. Trump.”
CNN is also reporting that the Trump campaign had many, many interactions with Russia. You will recall then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid sounded the alarm weeks ago that the FBI was sitting on some explosive information about Trump and the Russians.
This comes as Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) tweeted that “Director Comey refused to answer my question about whether the FBI has investigated Trump campaign contacts with Russia.”

The intelligence chiefs were on Capitol Hill to testify at an open hearing about Russian sabotage of the presidential election. It is clear that Wyden knows that the FBI is potentially sitting on explosive information. That could be the information that CNN is reporting on.
Um, remember when Donald Trump attacked the DNC for being hacked? It turns out that the victim of Russian hacking is attacking another victim of Russian hacking.
Gross negligence by the Democratic National Committee allowed hacking to take place. The Republican National Committee had strong defense!
