Majority of American Voters Disapprove of Donald Trump’s Performance as President-Elect

A majority of Americans disapprove of how Donald Trump is performance as president-elect, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

The poll finds that 45% of American voters think he will be a worse president than President Barack Obama, while 34% believe he will be better and 15% say he will be about the same.

The poll finds that 51%  disapprove of the way he is handling his job as president-elect. That’s compared to President Obama’s approval rating of 55%, his best in seven years.

Quinnipiac poll:  “American voters, especially young voters, say 64 – 32 percent that Trump should close his personal Twitter account. Republicans say 49 – 45 percent Trump should keep his Twitter account. Voters in every other party, gender, age and racial group say close the account. Voters 18 to 34 years old say 71 – 26 percent that Trump should close the Twitter account, higher than any other age group.”

A majority also said Donald Trump was not level-headed, by 62%, with 68% saying they do not believe they relate to him. The poll also found that 54% believe Trump will further divide the country.
