A new poll finds Democrat Jon Ossoff leading Republican rival Karen Handel by two points in the Georgia 6th runoff.
Florida-based Gravis Marketing released the results of a new survey that finds Ossoff leading Handel 47-45 percent with a little more than a month left before the June 20th runoff.
The poll finds that of those who did not vote in the first round on April 18, 53 percent say they will vote of Ossoff in the runoff. There are also eight percent of those surveyed who are undecided.
Ossoff’s lead is inside the poll’s 3.3 percentage point margin of error, but it shows that the race in the red, red district is a dead heat. The poll was conducted May 8-10.
House Speaker Paul Ryan is set to campaign with Handel at a rally in Sandy Springs on Monday. It’s worth noting that Ryan’s approval rating is even worst than Donald Trump’s.
