SCOTUS Won’t Review North Carolina Voter ID Case, Appeals Court Ruling Stands

The US Supreme Court will not review the North Carolina voter ID case, allowing the Fourth Circuit of Appeals decision to stand. That ruling struck down the law that sought to suppress the black vote.

When striking down the North Carolina voter ID law, the appeals court said it targeted “African Americans with almost surgical precision.” It would appear that SCOTUS agrees with that ruling.

This is a huge win for voting rights in North Carolina, where racial gerrymandering was underway in plain sight. The only way Republicans can win is to cheat and engage in voter suppression.
