DISGRACEFUL:  Donald Trump’s reaction to the bodies of seven US service members being recovered after USS Fitzgerald collision off Japan is to tweet about bogus Rasmussen poll numbers and to hilariously compare himself with Barack Obama.

Never mind the fact that, in addition to the seven sailors who died, others were injured as a result of the collision. This is an epic leadership fail, but like Max Boot wrote, we’re dealing with someone who is too stupid to be president.

Trump tweeted: “The new Rasmussen poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 election, just out with a Trump 50% approval rating. That’s higher than O’s #’s!”

He continued to make it all about himself with two more tweets (all chock full of lies, as usual):

Um, first of all, Nate Silver over at FiveThirtyEight gives Rasmussen a C+ rating. Also, they are skewed to the right wing. Furthermore, Obama’s approval rating at this stage of his presidency wasn’t 50 percent. It was in the 60s.

FiveThirtyEight also tweeted that Trump’s approval rating isn’t 50 percent. As usual, Donald Trump spews lie after lie.

The Navy has released the names of the fallen service members from the USS Fitzgerald: Dakota Kyle Rigsby, from Palymra, Va.; Shingo Alexander Douglass, from San Diego, Calif.; Ngoc Troung Huynh, from Oakville, Conn.; Noe Hernandez from Weslaco, Tex.; Carlos Victor Ganzon Sibayan from Chula Vista, Calif.; Xavier Alec Martin, from Halethorpe, Md.; Gary Leo Rehm Jr., from Elyria, Ohio.
