Barack Obama Returns to Politics with Redistricting Group Fundraiser in DC

Former President Barack Obama returns to politics with the National Democratic Redistricting Committee fundraiser in Washington D.C. on Thursday.

President Obama is helping the Democratic Party coordinate efforts in state races and lawsuits pushing back on the Republicans’ favorite tool to win seats — gerrymandering.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder, who is also the chair of the NDRC, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (CA) will be in attendance.

Holder said, “The National Democratic Redistricting Committee is proud to have the support of President Obama as we work to undo gerrymandering and create fairer representation in our democracy,” Politico reports.
