Democrat Dr. Phil Miller wins a special election in a deep red Iowa district that Donald Trump won by a landslide, 21 points, in the 2016 presidential election.

Miller defeated GOP candidate Travis Harris in the special election for Iowa’s 82nd House District. He won by a 10-point margin — 54 percent to his rival’s 44 percent.

This comes after the Democrats continue to pick up wins in red districts in state and local elections in Illinois, New Hampshire, New York, Oklahoma and Virginia. This is the 14th special election Democrats have won since Trump’s election, the Daily Kos reports.
