Former CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson is under fire after she tweeted a link to a story blaming Jews for America’s wars in the Middle East. She’s trending on Twitter and not in a good way.

Plame, who was outed as a CIA spy in a column written Robert Novak, came under intense backlash after she tweeted the link to a blog post:  “America’s Jews are Driving America’s Wars.” In the span of 39 minutes or so on Twitter, she did what George W. Bush administration tried to do for years — ruin whatever is left of her career.

The article, written by Phil Giraldi, former head of the military intelligence for the CIA, argued that American Jews “have taken upon themselves the onerous task of starting a war with a country that does not conceivably threaten the United States. The column appeared on The Unz Review, which the Anti-Defamation League wrote in 2014, pushes anti-Semitic and anti-Israel ideologies, though Ron Unz does not appear to be an anti-Semite.

Plame then posted several tweets explaining her actions and then eventually apologized for the initial tweet.

Plame later tweted: “OK folks, look, I messed up. I skimmed this piece, zeroed in on the neocon criticism, and shared it without seeing and considering the rest.”

“I missed gross undercurrents to this article & didn’t do my homework on the platform this piece came from. Now that I see it, it’s obvious. Apologies all. There is so much there that’s problematic AF and I should have recognized it sooner. Thank you for pushing me to look again. I’m not perfect and make mistakes. This was a doozy. All I can do is admit them, try to be better, and read more thoroughly next time. Ugh.”

Um, well, Twitter didn’t care for the walkback. They ripped her a new one:
