A Westchester man, Lorenzo Daley, 29, was gunned down by a restaurant owner after a fight turned deadly during a dispute about his wife’s wages. The restaurant owner, Kenton Connerly, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to a source, Daley accosted Connerly in a dispute over his wife’s wages. She worked at Connerly’s Simply Seafood restaurant on White Plains Road near Allerton Avenue. She told others that she was not being paid regularly. Daley had gone to pick up her final check when the altercation spilled out of the restaurant.
Daley was shot in the neck at about 7:30 p.m. Friday night. He later died at Jacobi Medical Center, authorities said.
